Lee & Associates Charleston names new president

A 35-year veteran of the real estate industry has been named president of the Lee & Associates Charleston office.

Wade Allen comes to Lee & Associates from CBRE, where he served as senior managing director. His career experience includes more than $1 billion in real estate transactions, $1 billion in capital project execution and $1.5 billion in property management.

AllenAllen graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and began his career with a focus on mechanical/electrical system design and construction. After a dozen years of being a contractor and service provider, Allen became the head of corporate real estate for The Coca-Cola Co. in Atlanta. After 10 years, he joined CBRE.

Bob Nuttall, managing principal of Lee & Associates Charleston, said in a news release that Allen’s expertise “will be a game-changer” for the company’s employees and clients.

“To find someone with Wade’s unique and broad experience in the commercial real estate industry is rare,” Nuttall said. “He brings the ‘full cycle’ knowledge of strategy, transaction execution, project development, construction and facility operation that will enable us to greater support current and future clients.”

Allen said he’s passionate about growing businesses and developing the next generation of commercial real estate leaders.

“Over the past several years, Lee & Associates has realized incredible growth in brokerage services, property management and development and project services,” he said. “I look forward to leading further growth and market expansion during the coming decade.”
