Kristine Sedra, MHL, BA, RN, CEN Named Associate Chief Nursing Officer for Live Oak Mental Health & Wellness

Live Oak Mental Health & Wellness, the first mental health hospital to open in South Carolina’s Lowcountry in more than 30 years, has named Kristine Sedra, MHL, BA, RN, CEN, Associate Chief Nursing Officer.

Sedra has more than 30 years healthcare experience in a variety of leadership roles. Prior to joining Live Oak Mental Health & Wellness she served at NCH Baker Hospital in Naples, FL as director of emergency services.

“I look forward to working with my new colleagues to build relationships, connect departments and teams, and advocate
for safe and compassionate care for our patients, ” explained Sedra.

Live Oak Mental Health & Wellness, which is part of Trident Medical Center, is a 60-bed freestanding mental health hospital. It provides inpatient and outpatient services to adolescents (age 12+) and adults. It opened in June 2023 and is located at 3445 Ingleside Blvd., Ladson, SC 29456.

Sedra said, “I have found that empowering team members to be transparent and innovative leads to improved outcomes/metrics, employee retention, and the patient experience.”

Sedra earned a Masters Degree in Healthcare Leadership from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Nursing from the College of Scholastica.
