Mount Pleasant, SC — Jayson Tompkins, the owner of Print Your Cause and Fulfill Engine, received the 2023 Entrepreneur of the Year award during this year’s Founders’ Ball hosted by the Harbor Entrepreneur Center. The annual award is peer-nominated and presented to a Charleston-area business owner who has achieved a banner milestone or significant achievement over the past year. Patrick Bryant, co-founder of the Harbor Entrepreneur Center, announced the winner during the center’s annual event on September 22 and presented Tompkins with his award.

Tompkins’ company was recognized by Inc. 5000 as the number one fastest-growing company in South Carolina, ranking in the top 250 across America. Under Tompkins’ leadership, Print Your Cause grew more than 2000 percent over three years. He started Print Your Cause in 2018 after recognizing a need within the nonprofit sector to obtain custom-branded products. Along with a team of developers, Tompkins launched a print fulfillment operation atop a software platform, Print Your Cause.

With offices and warehouses in Charleston, SC; Charlotte, NC; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Denver, Colo., Print Your Cause serves nonprofits, businesses and individuals nationwide.

“An entrepreneur’s life journey is complicated and hectic, yet incredibly fulfilling if you make the right moves,” shares Tompkins. “One of the best decisions I made as an entrepreneur was to join Entrepreneurs’ Organization. Since making that decision, my life has been enriched in countless ways, and to receive this award is a testament to finding your tribe, leaning in and enjoying the ride. I’m grateful for the recognition and excited about the opportunity to pay it forward by sharing my lessons learned with up-and-coming entrepreneurs.”

Tompkins is the incoming chapter president for EO Charleston and currently serves on the board of directors.

“Jayson has grown his companies exponentially over the past few years,” shares Jessica Munday, who serves as EO area director for the U.S. East region. “What I love most about his success is how incredibly humble and grateful he has remained. Jayson’s entrepreneurial journey is impressive to witness, and I couldn’t think of a better person to receive this year’s award.”

In a press release issued by Inc. earlier this year, Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk acknowledged that the companies that earn a place on the Inc. 5000 list are the fastest growing in America and are the companies building the future. Tompkins is proud of his accomplishment and knows his companies are filling a genuine need in the fulfillment industry.
