The recognition program honors individuals who go above and beyond to help make South Carolina a healthier, safer, and happier place to live and work.

The champions of South Carolina's healthcare industry deserve our recognition and gratitude. The 2023 class of Health Care Heroes represents diverse talent, expertise, and a commitment to excellence in their endless pursuit to help others.

In 2023, we will honor healthcare heroes in the following categories, recognizing their extraordinary contributions:

Community Service: Individuals who have gone above and beyond to serve their communities, providing essential healthcare support and fostering wellness.

First Responder: Courageous individuals who act as the first line of defense, responding swiftly and selflessly to emergencies, providing critical medical care when every second counts.

Health Care Professional: Dedicated experts who exhibit an unwavering commitment to delivering compassionate and comprehensive healthcare, ensuring the well-being of their patients with expertise and empathy.

Health Care Researcher: Visionary investigators who tirelessly explore new frontiers of medical knowledge, conducting groundbreaking research to advance our understanding and find innovative solutions to improve health outcomes.

Nurse: Compassionate caregivers who demonstrate exceptional skill, empathy, and resilience, offering vital support and comfort to patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey.

Mentor of the Year: Inspirational educators who serve as guiding lights, imparting their wisdom and expertise to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals, impacting their students' careers and lives.

Inspirational Teaching Award: Remarkable educators who ignite a passion for healthcare, using their innovative teaching methods and unwavering commitment to inspire and empower students to become compassionate and knowledgeable healthcare providers.

These healthcare heroes of 2023 exemplify the spirit of selflessness, innovation, and dedication, making a profound difference in the lives of individuals, communities, and the healthcare field.

The nomination Deadline is September 20th, 2023, at 5 p.m. EST.

The 2023 Health Care Hero winners will be celebrated at an evening event on December 7th, 2023, at the Columbia Double Tree Hotel.
