Details

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Carolina Youth Development Center has announced the details for the 18th Annual Golf Tournament presented by McCradys Tavern. The tournament will be held on May 7th, 2018 at the prestigious and much sought after Kiawah Island Clubs River Course.

The charity welcomes any and all businesses and organizations to participate and sponsor this event. This golf tournament is the largest golf event of the year for Big Brothers Big Sisters and is increasing in popularity each year.

Last years tournament raised more than $60,000 which enables Big Brothers Big Sisters to support existing matches and recruit new mentors to serve the more than 200 children on the current waiting list. With the help of a network of donors, partners, family members and advocates, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Carolina Youth Development Center carefully matches at-risk youths with caring, adult role models. Research proves that children enrolled in Big Brothers Big Sisters programs are more likely to improve in school and in their relationships with family and friends, and less likely to skip school or use illegal drugs or alcohol.

The format for the tournament this year is a 4-player scramble with a shotgun start at 11:00am. Lunch and beverages will be provided and the tournament will be followed by an awards ceremony. There will be prizes for the winning teams and hole-in-one contests winners. In addition, a silent auction will take place along with numerous raffle opportunities.
