Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural Bicycle Across South Carolina (BASC), a three-day, 139-mile cycling event taking place September 12-15, 2019 on the states historic Palmetto Trail. Both individuals and groups of avid or occasional cyclists are welcome, as are non-riders interested in attending the events held in host cities each night. BASC includes three- and two-day race options, with meals included.

The three-day, 139-mile ride will include:
¢ Day One: 28 miles through the Manchester State Forest. Finish the day with a pontoon boat ride to Santee State Park for happy hour and dinner.
¢ Day Two: 62 miles along the Palmetto Trail, including the shores of Lake Moultrie with a finish in Moncks Corner.
¢ Day Three: 49 miles though the Francis Marion Forest followed by a party at Hidden Ponds Nursery in Awendaw. A silent auction will benefit the Palmetto Conservation Foundation.

The three-day ride is not recommended for non-cyclists. There is also an option to participate in a two-day ride.

Over the 130-mile trail, participants will ride, dine, and stay together in an unforgettable weekend trip curated by The Post and Courier, the Palmetto State’s largest circulation newspaper. Riders may include families looking for outdoor fun, couples, friend groups or individuals hoping to meet other adventure-seekers. Riders can camp in state parks (campsites will be family-friendly). Shuttle service will be prodived for riders staying at nearby hotels.
