BERKELEY COUNTY, SC — The Berkeley Chamber will host a Legislative Preview on Tuesday, December 19, at the Berkeley/Charleston/Dorchester Council of Governments, featuring State Senate Majority Leader A. Shane Massey as the speaker. With the South Carolina General Assembly meeting in a month, this is an excellent opportunity to hear what topics and issues the General Assembly will look at and prioritize for the new 2024 session.

The 2023 Legislative session ended with significant investments in South Carolina’s economy and higher education. However, important legislation is still pending with rollover bills. Elaine Morgan, CEO of Berkeley Chamber, stated “this is a pivotal time in politics; the Berkeley Chamber is thrilled to have Senator Shane Massey as our speaker to share his thoughts on what is going to be on the main burner and what will wait until the 2025 session with this being an election year for house and senate.”

Registration and networking start at 8:30 a.m. The program begins at 9:00 a.m. and includes remarks from the Senator, and a moderated question and answer session. For additional information or to register to attend, contact the Berkeley Chamber at 843-761-8238 or 843-577-9549 or visit us online at https://berkeleysc.org.
