WHAT: Did you hear that? Better get your conch shells out because the sea is calling your name at Folly Beach’s 31st Annual Sea & Sand Festival set for NEXT Saturday, February 25th with a weekend full of family-friendly events! From the Folly River Park straight to the beach, the Sea & Sand weekend will include an artisan street closure event, as well as some healthy competition in the sand on Sunday. A portion of proceeds will go to benefit Warrior Surf Foundation and Folly Beach Surfers Healing.

Center Street will close* on Saturday, February 25th from 10am – 4pm for “Salty Saturday” and be completely taken over by Folly Beach restaurants, shops, and vendors for a celebration of the laid-back, fun beach town that everyone loves. The street closure event will feature local bands across multiple stages, more than 80 Folly art, craft, and fashion vendors, and a surfboard painting contest. There will be a robust kids area complete with the Sea and Sand Circus by Good Clean Fun featuring aerial performers, tall jugglers, face painters, spin art, bubble therapy, sand crafts, inflatables, and more fun for the entire family. Plus, the popular rodeo shark is BACK to take on brave challengers!

Event admission is $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Entry is free for kids 12 and under and Folly residents (must show a valid driver’s license).

Then, on Sunday, February 26th, bring your beach tools and your crafty skills to the Sand Sculpting Competition starting at 9am beachfront at the Tides Hotel. With awards for Best Family, Best Adults, Best Architectural, and Best in Show/Best Overall up for grabs, anyone and everyone is encouraged to sign up for this fun competition on the beach. *Center Street will close to auto traffic on Saturday, February 25th at 7am between Huron Ave and Arctic Ave and will reopen at 6pm.

No Animals, Coolers, Bikes, Skateboards, Scooters, or Backpacks (except diaper bags). No outside beverages. Reusable cups are permitted but must be empty upon entering and exiting the event. Rain or shine event. Service animals are allowed with proper documentation.
