The survey, which was launched Thursday, includes 10 questions that ask patrons the stores they would be most likely to shop at, restaurants they would like to see brought in, and other improvements they would suggest for the mall.
“We’re just gathering community input, feedback, because this community takes ownership,” said Kristi Tolley, marketing manager of Citadel Mall. “This West Ashley community has taken ownership of the mall over the years.”
Tolley said she has a goal in mind for how many responses she wants for the survey. She declined to expound on plans for after the survey.
Citadel Mall was sold in February for $17 million to a group of buyers led by Richard C. Davis, who was known as a creator and star of A&E’s Flip This House. The mall was previously sold at auction in January 2014.
The mall was identified by the city of Charleston during meetings last year as a focus for its West Ashley economic development strategy.
