Twelve Charleston-area women have been selected as finalists for the Influential Women in Business awards. The winners will be revealed Oct. 22 at the annual event put on by the Charleston Regional Business Journal.
The finalists, organized into four categories, represent local women who have demonstrated professional excellence and leadership in their careers and community.

The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Marriott Charleston on Lockwood Boulevard. Tickets are $45 for an individual and $380 for a corporate table of 10. Purchase tickets online.
