What made you select your chosen profession? When I was younger, my mother would tell me that I should be a lawyer — apparently I liked to argue with her frequently. It did not hurt that I have a family full of lawyers. Most importantly, I view it as a great way to help people in need.

Professional goal: To be able to reflect on my professional career and feel like I did things the right way. Through hard work, compassion and diligence, I’d also like to make a positive impact on my profession. Above all else, I want to treat people as I would like to be treated.

Personal mission statement: I want to be a good father and role model for my children, and I want to make a difference in my community. I would love to look back on my life and think that I learned from my mistakes and that I contributed to the joy of others.

Best career advice you’ve ever been given: My father said, “Don’t worry about it; just do the best
you can.”
