• When he takes office in July, Messervy will be responsible for levying more than $100 million in taxes while managing two offices, 12 employees and many other administrative functions for both the county and state.

• SPCA Oyster Roast chairman 2006 to present (largest fundraiser).

• Co-chairman, Summerville Exchange Charity Golf Tournament to benefit Children in Crisis.

• Voice of the Summerville Green Wave football and wrestling teams.
• Co-founder and acting past chairman of the Young Professionals Council for the Greater Summerville Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce.

What made you select your chosen profession? I chose to run for auditor because I was raised in an environment of public service. My parents instilled in all of their children that there is no greater honor than to serve your community. This particular position was a natural fit for my educational and professional background.
