General manager, East Shore Athletic Club

  • Oversees management of ESAC’s 11 locations in the Charleston region. Responsible for more than 200 employees, multiple programming and organizational matters. Coordinates with staff on company issues to build value into the organization. Works with about 75 companies in the Lowcountry to implement the ESAC Corporate Wellness Program and help employees live a healthy lifestyle and exceed fitness goals.

Community involvement

  • Race for the Cure: Fielded an ESAC team of about 70 race participants to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. 
  • Christmas Commandos: Promoted Christmas Commandos within ESAC clubs and on Lowcountry Live to bring Christmas to families who have experienced extreme loss.
  • Oblique Fitness Expo to benefit Louie’s Kids: Helped organize volunteers and participation for this event to benefit the fight against childhood obesity. 
  • Leads and organizes various other programs and events within ESAC to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

What made you select your chosen profession? I am passionate about having a job where you feel you can make a difference. There is nothing more fun than helping others lead a healthier lifestyle. At ESAC, I have had the opportunity to work with amazing people. When you love what you do, it truly does not feel like work! 

Best career advice you’ve ever been given: If you are going to dig a ditch, dig the best ditch there is.
